By now, many of you have made your way to Potato Head Folk for burgers at Three Buns, but don’t forget about the two floors above! I stopped by the other night for a couple cocktails at Studio 1939 on the third floor, followed by a couple more at a sneak peek of The Rooftop opening early July 2014.
Studio 1939 is the place to sit back and sip on cocktails made with fine spirits or limited collections of wine. A touch of sophistication in a quirky drinking den. My favourite drink is this “Folk Collins” pictured above. Gin, a sprig of rosemary and a whole lot of other goodness served in a fun mug. You can see they don’t take themselves too seriously around here.
The Rooftop is where you can enjoy fun tiki bar inspired cocktails and BBQ after the sun sets. A deliciously “easy to drink too many” cocktail to try is the “Po Lewa Lani”. Top that off with some lamb skewers served by their executive Chef Adam Penney from the UK and you’re in for a good night.
