Ilha Grande, an island located off the coast of Rio de Janeiro state, Brazil, is a secluded paradise with no cars and bountiful beaches, waterfalls, and pristine forests.

Lopes Mendes, often described as Brazil’s most beautiful beach is a 2.5 hour trek through forest full of monkeys and wild birds, or a 20 minute boat ride for the less adventurist. Besides it’s beauty, this beach also offers great surfing and diving.
