Trishaw Tour of Georgetown

There are so many attractions to see in Penang’s heritage district of Georgetown, that unless you enjoy getting lost in 30 degree heat, trishaw rides are the perfect way to explore the area. We learned this the hard way after searching all over Penang road for the famous Penang Road Teo Chew Chendol. People were pointing us in all different directions, whereas one hop in a trishaw, and the driver knew exactly where to go.

Many hotels in Georgetown can arrange for a trishaw tour for you with tours starting at RM 36 for a 1 to 1.5 hour tour. Choose from tours of different attractions based on your interests from temple tours to historic buildings. Trishaw rides can also be arranged directly with the driver, and you can expect to pay around RM 10 for a short trip.

Attractions to see around Georgetown include the Khoo Clan House, Armenian Street for art galleries and shops, The Blue House, an old Chinese mansion turned into a museum, Eastern and Oriental Hotel, a grand century old luxury hotel, and of course all of the local Penang food.
