Bandung might be Indonesia’s fourth largest city, but not only does it have great cafés and restaurants in the city, minutes outside the city limits as well as in the city are a wealth of outdoor activities, making Bandung a great holiday destination.

This city is known in part for its colonial and art deco architecture; in fact, it was referred to as the “Paris of Java” during Dutch colonial times due to its European ambiance and resemblance to the French capital. Nowadays, Bandung is also known for its tea plantations; its lively, youthful vibe (Bandung is a university town); and, thanks to the city’s high elevation, its relatively cool weather.
