Genting Highlands has for a long time been a favourite Malaysian hill top getaway that's a short drive away from Kuala Lumpur. The appeal has been the cooler weather, nature and theme parks. Now, there's a lot more to look forward to with 20th Century Fox World, Genting Premium Outlet and Awana Skyway all opening soon.
The movie themed 20th Century Fox World will boast around 25 thrill rides based on films like Rio, Titanic, Night at the Museum and more.
Genting Premium Outlet is set to house up to 150 designer and brand name stores covering 300,000 square feet. This will mark the 85th outlet under the Premium Outlets portfolio.
Joining the existing Genting gondola called Genting Skyway is the new gondola Awana Skyway. Completion dates are not yet announced but once complete will take visitors from the Awana Station where a car park and bus station will be located to Sky Avenue Station next to 20th Century Fox World in 10 minutes.
Along with these new attractions comes a new accommodation option - Best Western Premier Genting Ion Dolmen. The modern accommodation options will include Deluxe Rooms up to 3 Bedroom Suites, perfect for large family getaways. The hotel will also boast several restaurant and bars as well as meetings and events facilities.
