Singapore Slings in the Historic Raffles Hotel

Singapore Sling at Raffles Hotel Long Bar

The iconic Singapore Sling, made famous by countless travel shows and travel magazines, but what's all of the hype about? The Singapore Sling was first created by a bartender at the Long Bar in Raffles Hotel in the 1900's, at a British Colonial’s request for a tropical drink that was suitable for the  beautiful women he was admiring at the bar.

Today, you can enjoy the very sweet $30 cocktail in the colonial decor of the Long Bar. With rattan fans over head, peanut shells strewn on the floor and a live band in the background, you can image what life was like during the colonial era.
