Mount Kinabalu

Mount Bromo
A couple hours from Surabaya, Indonesia is the magnificent Mount Bromo, an active volcano that still spews white sulphurous smoke. The highlight of this trek is seeing the sun rise behind Mount Bromo from neighbouring Mount Batok. Enjoy the area through a series of 1-2 hour treks or take the easy way with a combination of jeep, horse and minimal hiking.

Mount Rinjani
If you have 2 days, 1 night, lots of energy and enthusiasm to spare, the hike up Mount Rinjani on Indonesia's Lombok island is well worth the trek. Climbing the mountain requires the assistance of a guide and usually accompanying porter service. Once at the rim, the view of Segara Anak crater lake is your reward.
