The hotel most commonly known as The Sentosa which was recently renamed to The Singapore Resort & Spa Sentosa, will once again don a new name. After 12 to 18 months and a multi million dollar renovation, the resort will be ready to step up to the prestigious title of Sofitel Singapore Sentosa Resort & Spa in the second half of 2015. This will mark the second destination for the luxurious French hotel brand in Singapore, after Sofitel So Singapore opens on 31st May 2014.
Inheriting The Sentosa's fabulous location behind Tanjong beach (think Tanjong Beach Club), beautiful views of tropical woodlands and sea, and 27 acres of land, the resort will be enhanced with renovations designed by DP Architects and MaxStudio. Besides all rooms and public areas getting a new look, the onsite spa will be transformed into a So Spa with 14 treatment rooms, six outdoor spa pavilions and a spa garden. The existing two ballrooms will be refurbished and a pre-function room will be added. I can't wait to see, stay and experience the Sofitel hospitality applied to a Singapore resort.
