Kuala Lumpur is a vibrant city that’s always evolving. If you’ve been to Kuala Lumpur in the past, plan another trip because now you can test your fear of heights at The Skybox at KL Tower, dine on award-winning Chef Will Meyrick’s cuisine and drink at the recently reopened Zouk KL.
The Skybox at KL Tower
See Kuala Lumpur as you’ve never seen it before—from directly under your feet. The Skybox is made of transparent glass and sits 3000 meters up. If you can brave the height, you’ll get a spectacular 360° view of the city. A bit scary, yes, but you’ll get some awesome Instagram photos! The Skybox is located at the top of Menara Kuala Lumpur (KL Tower)
Mama San Kuala Lumpur
Mama San Kuala Lumpur is the third of award-winning Chef Will Meyrick’s Bali-based street-food-inspired restaurants, the first two being in Bali and Hong Kong. It’s located on Ground Level at Suria KLCC and its design is influenced by the ambiance of 1920s colonial Shanghai. Mama San’s Asian menus include Chinese, Indonesian, Indian, Malay, Singaporean, Thai, Cambodian and Vietnamese.
The Astor Bar
This dark and sophisticated bar located inside The St. Regis Langkawi exudes class with dark wood, velvet sofas, leather wingback chairs and glittering gold accents. Wine connoisseur will swoon over the wine cellar with its walls covered in wine fridges filled with fine labels while cocktail lovers will enjoy the small menu of signature and classic cocktails.
Zouk Kuala Lumpur
Kuala Lumpur’s famous Zouk Club KL has reopened after a RM38 million renovation. It now offers eleven rooms, all with their own décor and music style (although EDM is still the focus). There’s even a slide that whisks VIP guests from the Imperial Lounge to the Member’s Lounge!
St. Regis Kuala Lumpur
Ideally located in the new business district of Kuala Lumpur Sentral, the brand new, 6-star St. Regis Kuala Lumpur offers 208 rooms and 52 suites, a spa, outdoor swimming pool, and much more. Have a glass of wine at The Astor Bar, sip on tea at the beautiful Drawing Room, and dine on sushi from Taka by Sushi Saito, the first restaurant outside of Tokyo by Chef Takashi Saito, who has been awarded three Michelin stars.
