The Hotel
This stylish boutique hotel is sure to impress with its funky contemporary decor and award winning restaurant Hippopotamus serving delectable French style cuisine. The paintings, sculptures, and limited edition super bikes adorning the foyer are all by New Zealand artists and are from owner Chris Parkin's private collection; reflecting his own personal style and taste in art. The hotel also offers an art guide which can be borrowed from reception so you can walk around and find out a bit more about some of the featured artwork, sculptures and the artists who created them.

Our Say
The Museum Art Hotel is the perfect base for anyone visiting the capital of New Zealand, famed for its art and theater influence. Rated by Yahoo as one of the top 10 Art Hotels in the world, its funky atmosphere and first class service is sure to make a lasting impression.
We had an exceptional stay in The Harbor View Executive Suite with its gorgeous view of the city's waterfront, comfy king bed and rain shower! Not to mention my partner was loving the Sky Sports Channels and watching the English premier league in the lounge at 2am while I slept like a baby behind the sliding door. We would have gladly spent the evening relaxing in the deep bath with glasses of wine had the thought of world class French cuisine not been calling our names. A special thanks to the Museum Art Hotel, it's wonderful staff and especially Rebecca Reed for making our stay such a personal and memorable experience.
